Do Any Clip-Ons Fit A 6Th Gen?

I have scoured this forum and cannot find anyone that uses clip-ons that fit a 6th gen. This makes me think that it's impossible because of the fairings. when i look at my '04 at full lock the stock bars almost touch as is...

so, are clip-ons completely out of the question? not even ones that go under the top triple, but just ones that replace the stock but without the riser.

See if Dan moto makes any 43mm clip ons. I have 50mm Dan moto clip ons on my R1 fork conversion 6th gen and they fit great. I think they are a 3in rise. I'll take pics in a bit for you.
But if you want shorter..... Probs not.

If you're looking to lower the bars, I've read on the CBRXX forum that Blackbird owners swap theirs for VFR clipons for their extra height much the way many VFR owners use Helibars.  From that I presume that the XX bars are lower.   Maybe check around and see if you can find a set for sale on ebay and see how they look.  I don't know of anyone that's gone the other direction to give you some feedback on how they feel.

Yup, Blackbird clip-ons should fit, but don't know if they might result in some fairing interference at full lock.

that's what I'm worried about.... I suppose i could just do less close quarters maneuvering, lol. though I do like to lock the column when it's parked...

so if these fit the blackbird, they'll work on my 6th gen too?

Those are just what i've been looking for, best of both worlds. Touring and trackdays all in one. With postage to the UK they work out at £172 - $264  pricey but am tempted.

I do like the look of those, but on a student's budget I cant be blowing that kinda $$$ right now....

Has anyone used blackbird handlebars on theirs? thoughts and opinions?

When I had a Blackbird, I fitted VFR800 bars to it to raise my hands.  Maybe the reverse would apply - providing that clutch and brake did not interfere.  Both bikes have the same diameter fork tubes.

I am as well, working on a students budget.

for my 6th gen i bought some cbr1100xx blackbird helibars off of ebay for about $80, sanded them down and spray bombed them satin black and they mount right up on my 6th gen forks. even though they are helibars they are actually still shorter than the stock 6th gen bars which i like because of the way i have my suspension set up. i tried regular cbr600 f4i clip ons and they do indeed mount on the forks but the lower profile of the bars are fouled by the dash on the bike.

i'll post pics of my blackbird clip ons.

that would be great. the soul reason im trying to do this is to lower the bars so i can tuck in better. but the clearance with the fairings is so tight as-is...

chances are I'll be getting some CBR1100XX bars soon.

I'll see about how well they fit.  :)

thanks for the ideas.

well ... I mocked them up, it looks like they should work just fine,  all the dimensions are exact,  they're a full inch lower tho.

the bars look slightly shorter in length,  but I believe everything will still fit as well.

even with the bars at full lock? the clearance on the stock bars is so close to the fairing its hard for me to think that something lower will work....
