I think you would want to be careful to check the fork leg spacing, I know my VTR1000 and VFR use a different spacing so things like axles and guards are not interchangeable. For interest I checked the parts listing and the VTR1000 uses the same axle as the NT650 and NT700, so my guess is the fork spacing of these is smaller than the VFR.
I think the best thing for me to do would be to visit my local bike breaker and grab a top-yoke to try it out.
I had brief access to a 2007 Dullville and a tape-measure, and it seemed pretty damn close, but i just didn't have time to strip the yoke off to try it as the removal process is fidly and annoying.
But, if it DOES work? Brilliant. I'll get it coated and slap a set of Renthal 755s on there, and fit an St1300 throttle cable on. It might even be enough to let me keep the bike for the foreseeable future rather than selling it next year as planned to get something a little more upright (ideally; A tiger 1050/sport or a Tiger 800), but if i can keep the VFR, i will.
I *might* go the route of a second hand VFR top yoke, a drill, and some risers. But i'll be damned if i'm spending £250-ish on some Helibars.

I wouldn't drop £22 on it unless I'd heard somewhere that it was an option, but if you can find one to measure, and measure accurately, then that's the better plan.
For reference, the 5th gen VFR has a fork spacing of 204mm, 41mm fork tubes and an offset of 40mm. The "Dullsville" is not likely going to have much less offset (though I could imagine 35mm--like the VFR1200F and various CBRs), and I have not heard of any modern Hondas with offset of more than 40mm. However, the easiest thing to check is that the Deauville has 41mm forks, because if not, it ain't gonna fit anyway (it may have 43mm forks?)
Some info in this trhread. Someone on the Dutch VFR forum fitted a Deauville top yoke on his 3rd gen fork and from memory the fork spacing of the 3rd-4th gen is 196mm.

It's 194mm, but if the Deauville top yoke fit on an RC36, then it's GAME OVER for the 5th gen. Sorry!
