well its been a while since a update and a few things have changed , the bike has been faultless so far and has been a hoot to ride even a little to much fun sometimes

but thats what its all about
So the clipons there great in the twisty stuff and okay at speed but other than that there not that comfy , the fuel tanker of a tank and my generous build make it a bit unpleasurable on the longer runs especially on the wrists , this called for a change , i was unsure if i really wanted to as i really liked the look of the clipons and the light , but the headlight was just useless , and a few had made mention that it was hard to know where i was as they couldnt see the headlight in the mirror , but i do do a bit of night riding so it had to go , so started the list of parts
i sourced a machined and anodized top clamp from cool and comfy in the uk at a excellent price , scored a unused secondhand mt-01 headlight with LSL bilet anodized bracketry , got some flat drag bars , some cool fork mount indicators from extreme creations along with some longer braided brakelines and some new adaptors to straighten up those BXP ressies , then got some new throttle and choke cables , so began the change

first problem , the top clamp is to suit CBR929/954 which the front end is but the big ol VFR tank didnt have the clearance to the headstock like the CBR , but the linisher fixed that

along with some mods to the adjustable bumpstops i had done it turned out a treat , next problem was the flat drag bars , the were just to low and the master cylinders just hit on the tops of the forks so out with them and in with some black TAG bars

next was to start to mount everything else up , changed the adaptors over to stand the ressies up straight , fit the new brakelines , throttle cables , choke cable , lengthen some of the wiring , reroute wires and cable , refit mirrors on the downside of the bars , fit the new indicators which are mint , i also moved the ignition barrel to allow the acewell dash to mount up closer to the top clamp and it neatened it up a bit up top , the ignition now has a new neat little home , so all fitted up it looks pretty smart and a bike more like your traditional streetfighter

and this is how she turned out , havent had a decent burn on it but it feels pretty good so far throught the twistys i dont think it will be as great as the clipons but we will have to see , but the look is growing on me , would like to get the headlights surround painted the same as the bike but i think i might wait a bit and do a colour change maybe
