Now that I think about it, of all my bikes, only the VFR and Vespa are capable of carrying a passenger anyways, and the only time the seat cowl comes off the VFR is for maintenance. Even if I wasn't an old married guy, I'd never use a bike for bait. Wifey used to ride in her youth when she was in Hungary, but I don't think she even knew that I rode until well after we were dating.

That was the case when I was a young man, but my bikes then were my only form of transportation, and I think it was more about being a badboy in a conservative area (girls with Daddy issues) than it was about the bikes. I smoked, drank, partied, DJ'd and frequented clubs (instead of studied, lol) which I think was more of a contributing factor than the bikes.

No worries. I don't like to make assumptions and am a bit remedial in the emoticon department, lol. I used to do the same even in extreme weather and the snow when I lived on the East Coast. Never (okay, once at 5mph to a cute tipsy blonde who had no way home) took a passenger under those conditions though.
My friend is a photographer, and one of her clients wanted to do a Wonder Woman photo shoot for Halloween....
I told them I'd come on my 86 RWB VFR750 as Captain America to take some photos... I'd have to lose my gut though :P

The last time my wife ever rode with was when we were dating. The last words I said were "Well, now you can tell your friends you have gone 140 miles per hour" she punched me in the stomach, walked away and never rode with me again. That was 18 years ago. Good news is, now she doesn't even know what my bike is or how many, as long as I am happy.
My girl had her VFR first, but we didn't start dating until after I got mine.

When I first started dating a girl I had a couple bikes but always had my eye on the Interceptors. A few weeks into the relationship while driving around I saw a 85 VF750F in mint condition for sale on the side of the road. I was drooling over the bike and said I wish I could buy it but didn't have enough money. I vowed never to have a credit card or use credit at that time. She said "just buy it I will loan you the money" after much hesitation and staring at how nice the bike was I said ok, if that is what you want, wink, wink. After a number of months the relationship hit a flat spot and wasn't sure if this was just a fling or a real relationship. I promised myself that I should stay with her until I paid off the bike loan. So that is what I did. The relationship kept getting better and better and I realized that any girl that would do whatever she could to keep me happy is the girl for me.
A marriage and two kids later, now 14 and 16, I would say that VF750R was a "Magnetic" part of the relationship.

First time I rode mine to Bear Mountain there was a group of high school girls (yes - in cheerleader uniforms) there and a tall gorgeous dark skinned lass just the wrong side of legal said 'your bike is very pretty.' I said 'thank you' and my voice cracked badly - ugh. Mostly though it's other guys first thinking it's a Ducati who come up and talk.

I handle the mundane parts of the business. Most of the real credit goes to my "Lil Brother" (not blood related) who is a much better glamour photographer than I am. We collaborate often, but he is the real talent behind the images we create. As an old married guy, it works out better this way. I handle the bikes, while he handles "the talent." :laugh:
