Hey ya'll! was wondering what motorcycle quotes everyone has heard, after all its a passion more than anything else! drop your original and ones that you've heard as well below!!!
Riding quotes
I'm not in a hurry I just want to go faster than you.
It could have been A LOT worse..
That's going to hurt in the morning.
This get off won't be so bad !
That'll buff out.
We're going to take it easy today.
For newbie riders......
When you are a brand new rider, you start riding with a full bucket of luck and an empty bucket of experience/skill. Your mission is to fill up the experience/skill bucket in time before the bucket of luck runs out. The failure to do so results aren't pretty.......
Ride at your own pace

I think I saw this one here somewhere:

I had to lay it down...
The number of bikes you should own = N + 1 (where N = the number of bikes you currently own) as long as N + 1 is never > D - 1 (where D = divorce).

Showed my bike to a friend that rides a 2004 CBR600rr last night. I asked him if he knew what it was. He said ducati, I said no, then he said kawasaki and I said no again. Let's just admit it. We're all labeled as stupid people because everybody knows of a motorcyclist that died on a motorcycle usually killed by a stupid cage driver. It's more socially accepted to be a stupid cage driver killing bicycle and motorcycle riders now and then.
Everybody has a snake story, a dog story, and a motorcycle story. But, they never do anything "exciting". I avoid people in every way that get vocal about motorcycle riding being stupid. We are all independent thinking people and that's the preferred way IMO.

Oh the irony here huh?! The only reason I can laugh is that he wasn't seriously hurt. Then again, give it a day or two. I got rear ended when I was on my bike and a day after while standing, I went to turn and do something and my back "locked up" on me. I literally couldn't move an inch without a sheer amount of pain shooting up my spine.
I had a sport bike advocacy group shirt on the first time I saw my new doctor about my back pain. He didn't like that much.
I don't use the term "crotch rocket" because I know there are more than 2 or 3 types of motorcycles. Those people are usually ones who can't tell the difference between any sport bikes or cruisers or they're squids. I don't get too upset about it, though. It's kind of like the "clip vs. magazine" thing to me, just roll with it.
If it's an actual conversation I'm having with someone and not some guy just asking what I ride, I do try to describe it as a smaller sport tourer.

Having a drivers license is a right in this country, not an earned or qualification based license. Getting your money is #1. Look to your right, left, in front of, or behind you as you ride or drive. There's the proof in the pudding. Sounds cynical but it's reality. Many people talk about "gun violence"....what about "car violence". You run over and kill someone where I live and you don't get charged with anything. That's partly why I consider riding a VFR safer than riding a bicycle. I can get away from a car on a VFR. Cars harass me on my bike.
In staying with the spirit of the thread: "Get off the cell phone and drive".

Haha, opening up a huge debate on gun policy there m8. :beatdeadhorse:
Such a difference in attitude between those outside looking in and those inside the US, and so many big divisions within the US. Difficult to justify the tens of thousands of deaths caused by guns (From 2012 to 2014, on average, 1,297 children died annually from a gun-related injury in the US, according to the study, published in the journal Pediatrics on Monday - source) but then how would you change to a land with no guns. They're a bit like nukes....once you have them you can uninvent them and they're almost impossible to get rid of. I'm just thankful I live where guns are not in common ownership, that they are saved for those specialist services that need them (and only when they need them). The day the British Bobby is routinely armed will be a very sad day imo and I hope it will never come.

Ciao,
I think that's a very true statement but there are also too many people that would have you believe that they are always in the arrogant position of defining the moral high ground and their point of view is superior to anyone else's. Anyone that knows the history of, for example the U.S. and the U.K that can also critically think will understand the "why" of the different feelings about guns. Personally, I like having the right to defend my religious and other freedoms, for example, from those that prefer to persecute me for what I believe. Go ahead and forcefully impose yourself on me and deal with the consequences. Freedom from despots and those that want to impose themselves on me for their gain and my loss is worth fighting for in my book. What's all this have to do with motorcycles anyway?
There are plenty of deaths can that be attributed to the mishandling of anything. Just because you don't see the point in it doesn't mean your opinion should affect me. Besides the recreational aspect of it, as long as there are bad people in the world intentionally harming innocent people, I'm glad to have something to protect myself and my family. A hashtag and some Facebook profile picture thing don't do much for me, nor does waiting for help to arrive.
I didn't turn it into anything. I mentioned something about common terminology between motorcycles and guns, someone said something about be able to talk about guns, and it went from there, including an ironically violent anti-gun sentiment and a picture equating guns to penis compensators. It's a hobby, like anything else we do.

Mr Kim Jong-un said, "We will bury you."
I don't subscribe to his point of view.
Such an ignorant thing to do.
I hope the North Koreans love their children too.
It's like stepping out of a time machine straight back into the mid f&ckin' eighties.
Go Sting go!!!!
This outfit is about motorcycles and riding; right?
Yeah, getting off track... myself included

We still love you mate. :)

We wanna be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man!
And we wanna get loaded!
MaxSwell We still love you mate. :)
The feeling's mutual!
I did try to get things back on track with the (I believe to be) Easy Rider quote.
A little sidetrack is fine occasionally, surely?
Guys, if anyone was upset by my posts, I apologise, that wasn't the intention. I wasn't trying to hold any moral high ground and I tend to agree with JZH about other cultures. Just trying to get an insight from a different, though related, culture.
Back to bikes.
