Im a newby at VFRs but i got the usual problem with a the R/R so I would appreciate any input. Thanks!!!

THANKS FOR LINKS MELLO DUDE, BESIDES THE R1 IS THERE ANY OTHER BIKES R/R I CAN USE??

Please dont assume that just cause its an R1 R/R that its a later tech MOSFET type. The p # you want if you go that route is FN0012AA. Or easier contact wiremy bike. com  --- Or the all in approach with the extreem fix thread.

I have been searching for a thread out there that list what model bikes had what type of R/Rs. -- Anyhoo, its a part that keeps your bike alive, and if it craps out will leave you stranded. Why by a used one that you have no idea if it will work out?

Compufire r/r can easily be made to work on a VFR.

Aftermarket r/r made for Harley's. There is a writeup on here about it.

Not a lot of miles on it yet, but a side benefit is that it seems to run a bit cooler, it doesnt drift up to over 200 F at idle as quickly as before. I'm liking it.

THANKS GUYS I JUST INSTALLED THE R1 R/R AND ITS WORKING GREAT!!!! I'LL KEEP THE OTHER OPTIONS IN MIND JUST IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG. :fing02:
