Last 50 of 52- Vf1000R Cyllinders On A Vfr800Fi? On the same note I was wondering if it was possible to up the compression ratio by decking the heads. That might make the bike stronger on the bottom like we all want. Guess there could be issues with the gears though
- Most miles on a 5th Gen? Posted in this thread 8/25/2012 that I had 19.5K and now I have 40K. That's crazy. Just got back from a 2400 mile trip to ohio, damn bike all most broke me.
- Auxiliary Lights I was wondering if some could be hung from under the cowl, about where the horn resides now. I don't think the front fender goes up that high. Sure could have used some for my blast home from ohio last night. 200 miles…

- Nervous About Taking A Long Trip A bad day on a motorcycle is better then a good day at work. Take some tools and a plug kit and a slime compressor. Make sure you have tools to get to your tools. Take water and goods snacks. Nuts, trail mix ect.
- Thoughts On Buying Used... Let me know if you want to sell that high mount pipe? : ) Has a givi screen, I love mine!
- Why are passenger handles such a b!#@h to find? If any body wants some I made spacers that act as grab rails. I'll sell them for my cost plus $10 to VFRD. I use them with my SW-Motech racks and then I cut a small notch out of my cowl and run luggage with the cowl.…
- Vfr750-St "pan Dutchopean" Here's a trick for limited access to the seat lock tumbler when running bags. I went to my local locksmith and asked for a new key that I could cut down the back side to make it easier to get the key in with out taking…
- 5Th Gen Stock Muffler/silencer Question I bolted a stock '98 on to my '00 wtih no problem. Tom What do you do with the O2 sensors?
- Since Real Men Don't Stop And Ask For Directions... adg44 When I tried to mount a RAM mount to the gas tank bolts on my 6th gen, it would hit the tank. Any clearance issues here? I use an extension arm, perhaps 4" or 6"? When looking at the dash my 550 just blocks the…
- Rear Seat Cowl Mod After Givi Rack Here I am loaded. Pikes peak. [image: DSCN2902_zpsf4c687cc.jpg] In the dry bag is a sleeping bag and tent, they both nestle in the v between the cowl and saddlebag. Other various things in the bag are jacket and pants…
- Seat Upgrade Or Luggage I bought my givi bags local to save shipping. Paid $220 for two e36's, then bought the sw motech rack from twisted throttle. Best money I ever spent on the bike but that's because it came with a Corbin. : )-
- New Owner Of Low Mile 98 Corbin seat might help. Install the vfrness and add a voltmeter. I did and when I noticed my volts jumping to 18+ I installed a new RR which may have saved my stator and other wiring. Good find! What did you have to…
- 5Th Gen Mileage I think I would fo for $750 for no other reason then to have spares.
- Rear Seat Cowl Mod After Givi Rack I cut one of my cowls for use with my side cases. Had spacers made to take up space where grab rails sat. Think I have three cowls including a blue one, Canadian, that I plasticoated. I don't like top cases, sits to…
- Are Heli Bars For Me? Yes you should. Then go buy a Blackbird and put your stock clip ons on that bike.

- To Buy Or Not To Buy - That Is The Question. Givi E41 Hard Case Like this??? [image: DSCN2902_zpsf4c687cc.jpg] I don't like top cases on the vfr, they are way high and behind the rear wheel. This worked well for me on a 2500 mile trip.
- Most miles on a 5th Gen? 19,500 so far, check back in a decade or so.
- Added brake lights to my Givi top case I guess this wouldn't work so well if you are using it as a sidecase, unless you want to light up the sky. I did order a set of the led's and may find some way to use them.
- Good deal? That's what I paid for my 2000 with 11,000 miles on it. Had Corbin, carbon fiber two brothers, helibars and givi shield. Also had pilot power 2ct's with 1000 miles on them. I say he'll yes! Since then ive added givi's…
- Added brake lights to my Givi top case Yes Details Please!!!! I'd like to do this to my E360 side cases which I guess are the same as what you have. Also how many did you use? all 4 for the one box or just 2?
- Strapping stuff down So what size or length of rok straps are you guys using?
- Oil leak - don't know how serious - pics And try decaf!! Even if it was the shaft seal that's a 10 min job at the most. Just did one on the bmw, pop old one off with a small pick and drive the new one in with a socket. Lot's of other stuff to be worried about!!
- Bike died Saturday (electrical) So this voltmeter on the bike never showed under 12 volts while running? Is this an idiot light or a true meter? I have a datel on mine and if I dont see 14.3 going down the road then I know I have an issue.
- VFR Corbin Smuggler I wonder how these would work with luggage mounts, SW Motech specifically.
- Feed back from shifter I bled the clutch but never checked to see if it had full travel. Bike as 17,000. It just feels like the shifter is pushing down as I "snick" it into gear. I'm wearing Sidi boots. No problems going into the higher gears.
- Feed back from shifter When shifting from 1st to 2nd I feel a little kick back as the bike goes into gear. Anyone else get that? I'm using mobile 1 bike oil btw.
- center stand riding high Chain tensioned correctly? Got pics?
- How much is too much for a pristine 5th Gen 2001 But after seeing some good pics of red 5th gens I'm thinking I need a red one to go with ole' yellow.
- How much is too much for a pristine 5th Gen 2001 My minty 2000 had 11,000 miles, Corbin saddle, helibars and a carbon Vance and Hines for $3600
- Exhaust what are my options An aftermarket exhaust is also good for dropping pounds off the bike. I like my carbon Vance and Hines but hey it came with the bike so no $ out of my pocket. I'd like to try a staintune. The stock exhaust can is heavy…
- 5 gen left me stranded/Electrical Hum?? How old is the battery? Better to go ahead and chunk a new one in there if it's over 3 years or so old.
- 5 gen left me stranded/Electrical Hum?? Is the hum your fuel pump?

- Post your Voltmeter mount pics Mine is just like earth shake but further back, I kind of have to peer over the bar to see but it's no biggie. If I was to do it over I'd move it further up. My grip heaters are under the bar but it's closer to reach…
- Heated grips and voltmeter on the same fuse?? Datel, I'll try to get some pics up, if you are careful you can cut a nice square hole and it will drop in without the bezel.
- 1998 Seat Cowl Needed There's a red one on eBay now for $28 as of now. I'd bid it up to $60 or so. $125 plus shipping is just to damn much. Good luck!
- 1998 Seat Cowl Needed Timmy I see you have the wingrack set up. Are they supposed to be installed with the grab handles? If so did you make spacers or something to take up the space where the grab handles are? I have the sw-motechs and I had…
- 1998 Seat Cowl Needed Keep checking, a red one just went for about $40, I think the buy price is about $60 plus shipping. I know I've been waiting on a yellow one, got one from england for about $80 shipped. I'm using this one for my…
- Hard Bags for a 5th Gen Ok, got the bags on but it was rough with the corbin seat, I may have to buy low profile hex head screws to fit the grab handles so the seat can sit lower and the seat latches easier. As it was I put washers under the…
- Hard Bags for a 5th Gen Crap!!! I'm going to have to grind a way a portion of the rear of my corbin seat to get it to fit with the racks. Why isn't anything easy!!!! : )
- Hard Bags for a 5th Gen I was thinking of having a new key made and cutting it down so that it would fit between the lock tumbler and rack.
- Hard Bags for a 5th Gen Well I just got the same racks but with the givi adapters. I'd like to figure out a way to mount the seat cowl with the saddle bag racks in place. My plan is to use spacers to make up the space that would be taken up by…
- Heated grips and voltmeter on the same fuse?? The fuse block has 3 switched fuses and one unswitched. It's plug and and play. I guess I could run the meter on it's own fuse, I have 3 free ones. I was just thinking that due to the grips and meter having their own…
- Heated grips and voltmeter on the same fuse?? For Christmas my beautiful wife bought me some heated grips, symtechs with the round rocker. I also have a datel voltmeter that I would like to instal as well. I all ready installed the vfrness with the fused block…
